PART 97 RULES

HAM BAND FREQUENCY CHART

The Technical forum is held each Sunday evening at 7:30. Your hosts are Chris Thompson, K4HC and Rick Mainhart, WB3EXR.

This is a great way for Hams to ask technical questions, in which Chris and Rick will try to answer. This is also a great way for the "new Ham" to "break-the-ice" and get involved in a discussion on the air.

Articles and links will be posted to this page along with topics of discussion.

A question section will be added soon so you can message Chris and Rick direct with your topics for discussion on the net.

Meanwhile, you can e-mail Chris at: k4hcATtriad.rr.com and Rick: wb3exrATtriad.rr.com (Note: replace AT with the @ symbol and retype the e-mail address in your e-mail program. This will prevent harvesting their e-mail info.

THOUGHTS ON THE 1/4 WAVELENGTH TRANSMISSION LINE :

Every once in a while you run across something in electronics
that borders on pure magic. At least that’s the way I’ve always
looked at the 1/4 wave transmission line since my
introduction to it in a UHF-Microwave course
in tech school many, many years ago.... By Roger Stout, N4RWS
